Eastern Illinois women's basketball forward Macy McGlone took home her second consecutive Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year award, becoming just the 10th player in conference history to accomplish that feat.
McGlone won six OVC Player of the Week awards this season, and averaged 17.7 points and 11.6 rebounds per game this season.
EIU guard Kiyley Flowers also picked up some hardware, earning her first OVC Defensive Player of the Year award.
Flowers averaged 2.8 steals a game, leading the conference and ranking 18th amongst all Division I women's basketball players.
McGlone was named to the women's All-OVC First Team, while guard Nakyel Shelton was named to the men's All-OVC First Team after averaging 17 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
The EIU women's team advanced to the OVC Tournament, and will take on the winner of UT Martin and Western Illinois on Thursday afternoon.
