Texas Men Sentenced for Casey Pharmacy Burglary

Two Texas men who admitted cutting their way into a Casey pharmacy in 2023 in an attempt to steal drugs have been sentenced to more than eight years each in prison.

Last year, McKindley Allen, 32, and DaLeon Fontennet, 28, of Houston pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary involving controlled substances, conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and attempted burglary involving controlled substances.

In December, a federal judge sentenced each man to 100 months in prison on each of those three charges, with the sentences to run concurrently, court records show. They were also ordered to pay thousands of dollars in restitution.

According to court documents, Allen and Fontennet used a Sawzall to cut through an exterior wall of the pharmacy with the intent to steal controlled substances. They say the two also burglarized a pharmacy in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, taking more than 16,000 pills.
