Representatives from the Eastern Illinois Foodbank will be giving out food from their Food-mobile on Thursday September 7th, to community members in need.
Organizers said families must meet eligibility requirements including being under the temporary annual income threshold, which is $25,520 for a single person, $34,480 for a family of two, $43,440 for a family of three, and so on.
Families must bring boxes or bags to transport food, said event organizers.
The giveaways will happen at Montrose Village Hall (203 National Road) from 10:30-11:15am, the Jewett Community Center (806 Adams Street) from 11:45am-12:30pm, the Embarras River Basin Agency (ERBA) in Greenup (115 South Kentucky Street) from 1-2pm, the Toledo Church Pantry (501 South Maryland Street) from 2:30-3pm, and lastly Neoga's Community Food Pantry (641 West 6th Street) from 4-5pm.
