A federal judge sentenced an Effingham man to prison time on Tuesday for his involvement in a methamphetamine distribution ring.
Tyler Schumacher, 37, of Altamont Illinois was sentenced to 15 and a half years in prison after he pleaded guilty to two federal drug charges.
Schumacher conspired with others to distribute meth from his Effingham County home from 2019 until June 2022, according to court documents.
On February 22nd 2022, law enforcement searched his home, where they found meth, cocaine, and over five-thousand dollars in cash, authorities said.
After his sentence, Schmuacher will serve five years of supervised release and will pay a $500 fine and $200 in special assessments.
