Authorities have charged an employee of the Jasper County Health Department with several felonies after she allegedly stole thousands of dollars from the State of Illinois.

Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced Friday he had charged Hillary Robertson, 31, of Effingham with vendor fraud, official misconduct and forgery.

Robertson submitted false computer entries to the health department’s system, leading the state to pay Robertson more than $10,000 for work she had not done, Raoul said.

Records show Robertson posted bond in the case last week.
