Fire officials have issued a burn ban in Coles County.
The ban comes as the area has experienced several dry days, said officials.
Fire officials said the ban includes burning fields, burn barrels, fire pits, careless discarding of cigarettes, along with anything else that may cause outside flames or a source of ignition.
This ban will continue until we see significant rain in the area, said fire officials.
Small outside fires could easily grow to be out of control, said officials.
The National Weather Service has predicted rain for Tuesday October 25th.
