The Illinois Housing Development Authority is reopening a program to help homeowners pay for mortgages.
Officials said homeowners who were financially impacted by the COVID pandemic can apply for help to pay down mortgages of up to $30,000 starting November 1st.
Officials said those who have received assistance can reapply if they have not yet recieved the full $30,000 in relief.
They said money will be paid directly to the servicer, and funds do not need to be repaid.
