Visitors to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center will no longer be required to wear masks, President and CEO Kim Uphoff announced Monday.
The change comes after an executive order from Governor JB Pritzker that changed the state’s COVID masking recommendations for healthcare facilities, Uphoff said. The hospital will continue providing masks to visitors who want them or are contagious, she said.
Additionally, the hospital will no longer test all admitted patients for COVID unless staff suspect they are contagious, Uphoff said.
The Sarah Bush Lincoln walk-in clinic in Mattoon will continue offering COVID tests by appointment on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
