A group with plans to bring new life to the historic Heart Theatre in Effingham is looking for public input on the future of the landmark.
The theatre, which opened in the 1940s, last operated in 2007, according to the group. Now, it has been bought by a former Effingham resident who plans to donate the building to a nonprofit, they say.
The group is asking for public input through their website. They are also hosting a public meeting at Effingham City Hall on November 5 at 10 a.m. to discuss the project.
