Monday, 23 March 2020

CHARLESTON, Ill. (WEIU) - Since Governor JB Pritzker's "Shelter in Place" Order, many have wondered if they need proof that they're an "essential employee" to go to work.

The Charleston Police Department issued a statement about this on its Facebook Page.

The Department says residents do not have to prove this by letter or any other means.

CPD went on to say if they have to determine if someone is "essential," that will be worked out between the resident and the officer.
