Urbana, Ill. (WEIU) - Community members looking for other ways to give back during this pandemic can get their sewing machines ready.
Carle Foundation Hospital has shared instructions for people to sew non-clinical masks.
The hospital says it has plenty of surgical level masks, and sewn masks won't prevent the spread of COVID-19.
However, the hospital says sewn masks may prevent the spread of germs for people outside of patient care.
