Terre Haute Officer Involved Shooting

Indiana State Police are investigating after an officer involved shooting in Terre Haute.

Terre Haute Police said 37-year-old Jeremy Ross of Terre Haute was shot after a scuffle during a routine traffic stop at the Circle K convenience store on East Wabash Avenue.

Police said the scuffle started when officers struggled to get a gun away from Ross during the stop, leading to the shooting.

They said no police were hurt during the incident, Ross was taken to Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Terre Haute Police Chief Shawn Keen requested a State Police investigation, which is ongoing.
