A motel fire has led to one death in Cumberland County.
Cumberland County Coroner Steve Sherwood said 48-year-old Larry Owens was killed in the fire at the Greenup Inn.
The motel is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 40 and Illinois Route 130.
Sherwood said Owens had been staying at the Inn for an extended period.
He said the cause of the fire has yet to be released, though foul play is not suspected.
An autopsy is scheduled Thursday.
