Shelbyville Man Enters Guilty Plea in Effingham Robbery Case

A Shelby County man enters a guilty plea in an Effingham robbery case that included a joy ride through Village Square Mall.

Jordan Johnson of Shelbyville was charged after stealing a car and crashing into the mall before stealing an undisclosed amount of jewelry from Zales Jewelry Store in 2018.

Court records show Johnson was ordered to pay nearly $5,000 to the mall and restitution to the jewelry store.

He'll serve 114 days in jail with credit for 57 days.
