A local college has frozen their tuition rates for academic year 2020-2021.
Parkland's Vice President of Communication Stephanie Stuart said Parkland's tuition rates will remain at $148.50 per credit hour next year for in-district students.
The tuition freeze was determined at the school's Board of Trustees meeting, where a new debt forgiveness program was also approved.
Stuart said the Cobra Comeback Program is aimed at helping students who may have taken a break from college get back in school.
She said the program removes holds on student accounts so students can re-register to get back in school.
