A local school district is looking at all its options to help generate money.
Wednesday night, the Charleston School Board welcomed feedback from community members on what could be done to help the district close a roughly $2 million dollar budget gap.
Topics ranged from closing the Ashmore School, cutting extra-curricular programs, introducing a tax referendum, and a few other options.
Superintendent Jim Littleford says he's glad so many people came out because it helps the school board weigh its options.
Littleford says that the district is trying to plan ahead because it isn't receiving its funding from the state in a timely manner.
He says the board will talk more about its plan of action at its next meeting in February.
