I-57 Northbound at mile post 187 outside of Mattoon is currently closed due to a fully engulfed Truck Tractor Semi-Trailer. Traffic is suggested to detour to exit I-57 NB at Exit 184, travel North on Route 45 to Rt. 16 and take Route 16 East back to I-57, Traffic can re enter I-57 NB at Rt 16 (Milepost exit 190).
This delay should be expected till about 1PM while the vehicle fire is contained and the unit can be removed from the roadway.
