The Neoga Board of Education review results of a survey sent out earlier this month.
The survey included questions about program cuts and consolidating.
The district has struggled financially for some time and earlier this year cut several teachers and staff.
Superintendent Beth Pressler says 71% of those who responded prefer Neoga remain a stand alone district.
She says only 13% of respondants wanted the board to explore consolidation options.
Pressler says right now the district is saving money by running a shortened school day and having extra curricular activies paid for by the Booster Club for one year.
She says the next step may be a feasibility study to determine if consolidating is possible.
The district will also look into another school tax referendum.
