The new police chief in the village of Kansas is no stranger to law enforcement! Greg Voudrie retired from the Mattoon police department and made a run at the Coles County sheriff's position. While he didn't win last fall's election, he was determined to continue his work in law enforcement! News Watch's Jesse Guinn spoke with the new chief about his new duties. Greg Voudrie says he's looking forward to getting back to patroling the streets and the Kansas community is the perfect place to doing just that. Voudrie is the only full-time officer at the department working alongside Neal and five others. He plans to work closely with the Kansas School District and the Eastern Illinois Area of Special Education in Kansas.
