Effingham Man Faces Child Porn Charges

An Effingham man charged with possessing and disseminating child pornography has been ordered held until trial, according to online court records.

Larry Gibson, 66, was arrested Wednesday following a search of his home by Effingham Police and investigators with the Illinois Attorney General's Office, according to Attorney General Kwame Raoul.

Gibson is charged with five counts of possessing child pornography and seven counts of disseminating child pornography, according to court records.

During a hearing Thursday, a judge denied Gibson's request for pretrial release. Gibson is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing January 2nd.
