Effingham high school will retire the jersey of Flaming Heart Legend, Blair Hardiek on December 14th.
Hardiek graduated in 2003 and still holds the EHS records for career points, rebounds, and steals.
During her senior season she averaged a double-double per game with 24 points and 10 rebounds also leading the Flaming Hearts to a 23-5 record which included a regional title.
Hardiek also made buzz nationally being named to the Street and Smith’s All-America honorable mention team and was nominated for the McDonald’s All-America team.
The jersey retirement will be a part of Effingham High School’s 50 Years of Women’s Athletics event.
