EIU Picked Second in OVC Preseason Football Poll

Eastern Illinois University is picked to finish second in the Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Football Association poll.
The Panthers finished 8-3 last season and will kick off this year's schedule August 29th at Illinois.
The University of Tennessee at Martin, last year's co-champion, was picked first with Southeast Missouri third behind EIU and Tennessee State in fourth.
The poll is voted on by the league's football head coaches.
Quarterback Pierce Holley was named preseason offensive player of the year.
Last season, Holley passed for 2,741 yards and added 17 touchdowns in the air while rushing for four TDs.
EIU's home opener at O'Brien Field is September 7th against Indiana State.
