Lake Land College has joined Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Saluki Step Ahead program.
The program allows students who graduate with an associate degree from a partnered school to complete their SIU bachelor's degree online for selected programs, said SIU officials.
The programs included in the plan are accounting, business administration, criminology and criminal justice, early childhood and elementary education, health care management, history, nursing, psychology, and radiological sciences.
"These Students cannot come to Carbondale to complete their education, we will bring the experience and resources of a doctoral research university to them," said SIU Chancellor Austin Lane.
The Lake Land agreement bring marks 31 schools involved with the program in Illinois, Missouri, and Texas, said university officials.
