A central Illinois teacher has been taken into custody accused of soliciting a child.

The Illinois State Police said Hayden Miller (29) is also accused of having child pornography.

Police said Miller was employed as a teacher with the Shelbyville Community Unit School District at the time of his arrest.

The school district issued a statement which said Miller was an occasional substitute teacher,  and that allegations don't involve Shelbyville students or property.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Coles County State's Attorney's office, said the Illinois State Police.

Parents are being asked to contact State Police if they believe their child may have had inappropriate interactions with Miller.
