Mattoon Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder

Mattoon Police arrest a woman on a Coles County warrant for attempted first degree murder.
Police said the arrest happened November 1st in the 1500 block of Champaign Avenue.
Police were called to check on an unresponsive person, said officials.
According to authorities, MaryJo C. Perry (34) intentionally provided the unresponsive individual with heroin instead of methamphetamine because the individual had confronted Perry about some stolen money.
Perry's bond is set at $500,000 (10% applies).
The victim was treated and released from the hospital, said authorities.
