Decatur Fire Station #3 will see a new plan to convert it into apartments while adding on to the current facility, according to Decatur officials.
The City Council approved the sale of the fire station to local business owner Mark Allen who estimated the cost of the project to be around $750,000, according to the report.
Officials said this is the second round of proposals the City has solicitated as they approved the sale of the building to a corn hole business last year.
However, the deal fell through due to the buyer's financing challenges, according to city leaders.
