ISBE to offer guidance on Act of God Days

Tuesday, 24 March 2020

School districts across Illinois are looking to the State Board of Education for what to do next.

Right now, ISBE has said every day through March 30th will count as "Act of God Days" for Illinois schools.

This means school districts will not be required to make these days up at the end of the semester.

But, the Governor's "Shelter in Place" order is in effect through April 7th.

ISBE says it will share this week what schools should do after March 31st.

The State Board says it's considering a transition to Remote Instructional Days for the state's more than 800 school districts.
