University of Illinois Police have said their program Safe Walks has temporarily extended hours.
Police said the program provides escorts to students, faculty, and staff.
They say the time extension, will start at seven p.m. March 6th and end Sunday morning when daylight savings begins, the program traditionally starts at nine.
They said this is in response to three off campus incidents that happened this week, where students were confronted by men with weapons.
No students were injured during the incidents.
