Marijuana Revenue

Marijuana sales are adding up with a total of 10 million in tax revenue.

The Illinois Department of Revenue said the sale of recreational pot in Illinois generated $7.3 million in tax revenue last month.

They said an additional $3.1 million was made in retail sales tax.

In all they said people bought 40 million in recreational pot last month.

Officials said Governor J.B. Pritzker projected this fiscal year would bring about $28 million in cannabis tax revenue.
 
They said as the industry blossoms marijuana sales will grow to $127 million by 2021.
