Illinois Freedom Project

Thursday, 13 February 2020

A special program is looking back on the anti-slavery movement in Illinois.

It's called the Illinois Freedom Project and officials say it's a traveling exhibit about those who fought to keep slavery out of the state.

Organizers say it's geared toward older children, but all ages are welcome.

They said the event will be held at Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site, in Coles County, until March.

If you'd like to arrange a tour for a school group organizers ask you to email education@lincolnlogcabin.org.
