Hunting season has come to an end, and the total numbers may take you by surprise.
Officials from the Department of Natural Resources say Illinois hunters harvested more than 153,000 deer this season.
They say the traditional firearm season brought in the most deer, but totals were lower than last season by around 5,000 deer.
DNR officials say hunters shot 45% females and 55% percent males.
