A Cumberland County city is getting a hefty grant to improve its public infrastructure.
Officials with the Illinois Department of Commerce said Neoga is receiving $500,000 for the improvements.
They said the grant, called the Community Development Block Grant, or CDBG, will help the state's low income communities undertake much needed projects like water plant improvements, sewer and lift station upgrades and construction of a new water tower.
