Monday, 22 February 2016

The state budget impasse has caused one university to stop financing an educational program after 21 years of service.

Officials from the University of Illinois say due to budget constraints funding for their Discovery Program has been suspended

They say the program was started in 1994 and is intended to help students enhance their education through greater interaction with faculty in small classes.

Officials say the program was designed for first year students only and limited to 19 students per section.
