Effingham is dedicating a portion of Interstate 57 to two fallen Illinois State Police Troopers.
Senator Dale Righter approved the interstate to be named after, Frank Doris and Layton T. Davis earlier this week.
The two sections honoring the troopers will be established several miles north and south of Effingham.
Organizers say once the signage is finished, a dedication ceremony will be scheduled.
Last month, a monument honoring four District 12 state troopers was unveiled at the southeast corner of the old Effingham County Courthouse.
