After more than a century in Shelby County, officials say the courthouse is in bad shape. But Shelby County Sheriff Don Koonce says action needs to be taken; and the sooner, the better! Koonce says the county is currently working to find a way to pay for the project. He says they've been searching for grants; but, it's been difficult due to the state's struggling economy. And Koonce tells me, at this point he can't pin point a completion date since there are so many elements to the project.
