Effingham Liqour Ordinance Rejected

Wednesday, 2 September 2015

The Effingham city council votes NOT to change the city's liquor laws.

The 3 to 2 decision was made last night.

Council members say they support some of the changes, but not all of them which is why they voted against the proposal.

The changes would have removed the limit of liquor licenses available allowed 19-year-olds to sell alcohol and let grocery and drug stores sell alcohol on the open floor.
