Trustees in Savoy voted to end its annual Orchard Days festival.
In the five years it was put on, officials say attendance was underwhelming.
Officials say the festial cost $60,000 to host, and it was paid for by hotel/motel taxes and Savoy's general fund.
However one trustee says she hopes the board can find another way to keep the community together.
