County fairs aren't exempt when it comes to budget cuts in Illinois.
Governor Bruce Rauner's administration has instructed county fairs to stop spending state money on rehabilitation.
That includes some maintenance, construction and insurance costs.
Fair organizers say they knew their grants could be cut and say donations may have to replace the loss of money.
