University of Illinois school's president will step down a month early.
Board of Trustees Chairman Ed McMillian says Robert Easter will
leave his position as president on May 17th instead of June 30th as originally planned.
Last November, U of I hired Timothy Killeen as Easter's replacement .
Killeen will take over the presidency on May 18th.
He says he hopes to quickly launch a new strategic planning process for the university.
