After 26 years of caring for people with cancer in one facility, Sarah Bush Lincoln has plans to build a freestanding cancer center that will offer comfort, privacy, and space to its patients. News Watch spoke with the Director of the Regional Cancer Center Colleen Swick about the center's exciting expansion. Sarah Bush Lincoln will also be able to participate in trials through the University of Illinois at Chicago. The ground-breaking for the new facility is set for April 15th, and is expected to take around 18 months to complete. There aren't any plans yet for repurposing the facility's current location.
