The firearm owner application process is going paperless!
The Illinois State Police say they will no longer accept paper applications for FOID applicants after today.
Officials say only online applications will be accepted beginning March 16, but applicants without computer access can still use the call-center method.
They say all new and returning concealed-carry applicants must register with State Police by providing their driver's license or state ID card, creating a username and password, and answering security questions.
