Another public meeting is planned to discuss the financial future of the Neoga School district!
The district has been in financial trouble for a few years.
Voters are being asked to pass a referendum in April raising property taxes by almost one percent, to help solve the district's budget shortfalls.
A meeting about the proposal is happening March 16th at the Grace of United Methodist Church, at seven.
Officials say the average Neoga landowner would pay 500 dollars more a year in property taxes.
If the referendum fails, students could be forced to attend school in other districts.
