Fewer students are walking around campus at Indiana State University, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The school announced fall enrollment numbers this week.
The Office of Institutional Research said 7,895 students are enrolled this year, which is roughly a five-percent decrease from last fall.
A delay in FAFSA filing and population changes could be some of the reasons for lower enrollment, said officials.
As for areas of improvement, I-S-U says the number of graduate students and those enrolled in the Honor's College is up this fall.
Eastern Illinois University is expected to release its numbers sometime next week.
