The Chicago White Sox are inching closer to history as they lose to the Detroit Tigers 9 to 4.
Tigers left fielder Andy Ibanez hit a home run that scored 3, while former Panther Trey Sweeney went 2 for 5 with a run batted in.
Andrew Vaughn with the White Sox went 2 for 3 with a double and a home run while plating 2 runners.
With the loss, the White Sox are now 31 and 100 on the year and are closer to having the record for losses in a season.

The Sox would have to 12 and 19 in their remaining games to not tie with the 1962 New York Mets, who went 40-120—1.
The Tigers are now 65 – 66 and are one game away from being .500.
“That’d be a big goal for us to achieve.” Tiger’s second basemen Colt Keith said. "I've been saying for a while this team has a lot of potential. We’ve just got to be more consistent, and you see us being consistent the last couple of weeks, playing good baseball.”
The White Sox and the Tigers will play the series finale on Monday, RHP Ty Madden is scheduled to make his major league debut for the Detroit Tigers.
