Moultrie County Teacher Held on Child Porn Charges

A Moultrie County teacher arrested on child pornography charges has been ordered held in jail, according to court records.
Authorities arrested Christopher D. Davis, 38, on August 8, after an Illinois State Police investigation found images of child pornography within Davis's Yahoo email account. The investigation began with a cyber tip, prosecutors said.
Davis, who taught sixth grade at Lovington Grade School, told investigators he viewed images of child pornography online and saved them to his email. Investigators said no local children were involved.
Court records show Davis is charged with possessing child pornography involving children under age 13, and he has been ordered held until trial.
