U of I Football Announces 2024 Team Captains

The U of I football program has named six captains for the 2024 season: Tanner Arkin, Pat Bryant, Seth Coleman, Josh Kruetz, Dylan Rosiek and Miles Scott. The six captains were selected by a team vote.
- Tanner Arkin, the Fighting Illini's tight end, is entering his second year after transferring from Colorado State. In Arkins first year with the Orange and Blue, he played all 12 games and made three starts.
- Wide receiver, Pat Bryant, a preseason All-Big Ten seletion returns as one of the biggest red zone threats in the league.
- Seth Coleman is on his sixth season as an outside linemen with the Illini after being chosen as a preseason all-conference honoree.
- Offensive line anchor, Josh Kreutz is also back for his second year as the team's starting center.
- Dylan Rosiek, a 2024 Dick Butkus Award preseason watch list honoree as one of the nation's top linebackers, is back for another round with the Orange and Blue.
- Miles Scott returns ready to make another big impact in the U of I football program, just as he did last season with 64 tackles, three breakups, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery.
The Illini take on the Eastern Illinois University Panthers Thursday, August 29 at 8 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
