Mattoon Sports Complex Named

A proposed Mattoon sports complex has been given an official name.
Officials said the proposed state-of-the-art complex will bear the name Emerald Acres Sports Connection.
Officials announced a multi-year marketing partnership with Rural King, Monday, in hopes to connect with community, businesses, and spur economic development.
Officials expect the $66 million facility to bring about 580,000 visitors and generate nearly $24 million, annually.
