Conservation Police Squash Social Media Rumors

Tuesday, 24 March 2020

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police is snuffing out false information on social media.

IDNR says there's been rumors it's closing the 2020 to 2021 hunting seasons. The Department says this is completely false.

In addition to that, IDNR says the Governor's Office is permitting fishing and hunting during the stay at home order.

However, the state's sportsmen and women still need to have proper licensing and permits.

IDNR says patrons can't use state parks and wildlife areas as they're closed right now, but other sites are perfectly fine to use.
