The Christian County Health Department confirms its first postive case of COVID-19 in the county.
The department says the individual has been told not to leave their home and they complied with quarantine procedures even before their test results came back.
Officials say the individual is doing well at this time.
They are conducting an investigation into this case to determine who else may have been exposed to the virus.
Christian County Board Chair Becky Edwards made an Emergency Declaration for Christian County, which will allow the county to request additional resources if needed.
So far, the Christian County Health Department has performed 13 tests for COVID-19.
Results for seven tests are still pending, five came back negative, and one is positive.
