E. Coli Outbreak Linked to Jimmy Johns

Thursday, 27 February 2020

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention believes a multi-state E. Coli outbreak is linked to Jimmy Johns.

The organization says 14 people in Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Utah and Iowa have become ill after eating clover sprouts from the chain.

Jimmy Johns says it is no longer serving sprouts.

Health officials are asking anyone who ate sprouts at the restaurant before Monday to report any gastrointestinal upset to a doctor.

This news comes a day after the Food and Drug Administration sent a warning letter to Jimmy Johns blaming it for multiple outbreaks over the last seven years.
